To help deliver quality interfaces while accelerating time-to-market. To empower creativity by making UX and UI easily accessible to designers and developers across teams. To reshape the enterprise and open source worlds with applications people love to use.
A new team is creating a new web application for a new company product. They are investing most resources researching, validating the product and market, and developing a first MVP that should be
released as soon as possible to stay in competition as rival companies are working on a similar solution.
The team is small, doesn't have a designer, and has almost no time to work on usability. When they find out there is a Design System available which offers them layout templates, UI patterns, guides, components and more, they manage to deliver a UI that looks like all other company products in time with the scheduled release date.
An existing product has a UI that is not exactly consistent to the rest of the company’s products portfolio in terms of UI and UX. Product management understands that a stronger brand brings better results to the company. The developers and designers are given the task of slowly aligning the UIs using the company's Design System as a centralised source of UI and UX knowledge. Working on the implementations of the Design System into their product, the developers and designers realise that having the tools provided by the Design System allows them to put more focus on creating quality code and design.
An SME is looking into incorporating UX processes in their agile/bleeding edge development cycle. They have a few designers onboard but defining a design system from scratch is both expensive and time consuming. They find the open source EOS Design System, they read it is easy to deploy and customise to their brand’s needs so they decide to give it a try. Effectively after a few weeks customising their Design System, the stakeholders at the company start noticing how the development process has become more efficient while enhancing the UX and UI consistency across the product portfolio, all with a very minimal investment and a highly scalable Design System they can keep growing and maintaining.

When I first created EOS I wanted to impact the life of designers and developers in a small ecosystem, SUSE. When I saw the potential and all we can do with the excellent team behind it, I realised we can impact an entire generation.
